Chips is pending production, to be in corrugated cardboard. Please contact me via email for any enquiries.
Chips is an educational toy designed for children. The starting point for this project was observing them at play in Port Discovery at Baltimore. Seeing that children do not necessarily use things as they are intended for, I decide that what I design for them must be open-ended.

Based on the same system, Slabs was made as an interactive installation, and exhibited at the Mount Royal Station of Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
By employing the techniques of mass manufacturing in modularity and molds, yet making the pieces largely by hand, Slabs serves to remind how urban societies are so removed from the processes of making.
Several pieces were left lying beside the structure, encouraging people to interact with it, bringing them to closer contact with the handprints I left on the pieces
With the molds made and repaired by hand, each piece exhibits a kind of uniqueness but is still able to interlock with each other.
